The fact that the colour is grey and black of the whole contents means that any colour would pull in the reader and draws the attention to it. The arm over the shoulder of the artists with the red heart in her hand shows possibly what he may be like and he is hiding his feelings but she knows what he is like with the red standing out of the grey dominant colour. Red represents romance and love which may show a different side to his personality. The artist is making clear eye contact to the reader which draws the reader in.
